Hello!
Yeah, I know it's been like, a year since the last time I updated this journal. I apologize for that delay, if you are one who watches here for news and updates. With my writing taking up more and more of my time, and going in amazing new directions, I have had less and less time to spend... anywhere, really. Unfortunately, updating my dA account has been one of the things that slid to the way-side in teh midst of everything.
I still check dA every day and go through my deviations, fave things and read/answer comments and thank-you's, but all of my writing has been for publication/projects and as a result it can't be posted here. Similarly, me being so busy with book projects has meant nothing is really happening on the latex/fashion front. I have several ideas I want to build, but I don't and won't have the time to work on them until after con season this year.
Now onto the good news!
--Novels--
My new novel, 'The Aegis Protocol' is finished and will be going live this coming May 2, 2014 at StarFest in Denver. This book is easily the best one yet (imagine that. I'm actually improving my craft *laughs*) and I am so very proud to be able to share it with everyone. It's been a long process with many trials and tribulations (largely me clashing with editors who are generally right, despite my desire for them to not be) but it has all paid off in spades, if you ask me. And I sincerely hope everyone who reads it agrees.
The book is the origin story for Daray, a character that pops up in the Keys of Kalijor series upon occasion and has a major TG component to it, for those that are interested in such themes. It is a sort of high-tech 'coming of age' story involving corporate espionage, betrayal, self-discovery, and a little bit of romance just for good measure. If you're interested, you can pre-order from most eBook catalogs now, (and actually purchase it now for a couple of them that don't support release dates), or even get a physical copy ordered from my online store and have it right around launch day if you act now.
All of this can be done through the following landing page for the book at Kalijor.com: www.kalijor.com/books/the-aegi….
Now that this book is done, I will be jumping on the rewrites and editing for next year's book shortly. It will be the origin story for Alina Martin and is another one that I had a lot of fun writing, even though I never intended to do tell that particular story.
--Role Playing Game--
For those that supported and contributed to the Kalijor RPG crowd-funding, I thank you and hope that you have enjoyed the game. And now I must inform you that there is major news on the RPG front on the horizon. I can't say anything official until May 16th, but it is huge news, and it means I am very, very busy with RPG work until at least after Denver Comic Con. What I will say is this: If you'd like to have a copy of the Kalijor RPG in it's original format, act now. You can order them via Amazon, or email/note me and we can make it happen for you directly, with signatures and the works. But time is limited for picking these up and no more will ever be printed. That means that there are 126 copies in existence and my supply is running low!
--Conventions--
I will be at StarFest May 2 launching the new novel and chatting with fans/readers all weekend. I'll try to be on as many panels as possible, but the con runs panels very strangely and I don't have any info about them yet, so we'll see what happens. Of course, I will have copies of all my books, including the RPG, at the table if you need/want any. Stop by the DTC Marriott in Denver and say hello if you can!
After that I will be at Denver Comic Con in June, followed by the August blitz of MAL Con, followed a week later by GenCon Indy, then two weeks after that, TactiCon in Aurora CO. Then we start winding down for the holidays with MileHiCon in October, and start off next year with the refreshed CoSine in Colorado Springs in mid-January.
After I make the big RPG announcement next month, it is likely that I will start appearing at more conventions, in more cities around the country (and hopefully the world!), so stay tuned for more!
--Other Stuff--
If you want more frequent news/updates, please look up Kalijor Press on Facebook, and follow my somewhat better tended blog at Kalijor.com. I'm also on Twitter EzriLell.
I think that's about it. For now.
Thank you all for sticking around, and sharing your art and lives with me and the rest of us. Inspiration is an amazing thing and it is wonderful to have such an endless source of it here in this community.
End of Line...

Kalijor RPG Kickstarter!
Hello,
As you are probably aware, I have undertaken the journey of becoming a fiction writer. I have, to date, published 4 novels, with a fifth one arriving in print in the next 90 days. I have sent you a couple emails in the past when new books are going live, or to announce major events in my journey to published author and I have always appreciated the support you have given me along the way. This message is to say thank you, and to ask you, dear friend, for your assistance in another matter.
What you may not know, is that I have been an avid player of role playing games since I was in my teens. I have pla
Quick update/Ramble...
All of the new books are on their way to me. I should start receiving them as early as Monday. *super excited*
With any luck, it will be available in stores on or just after StarFest, but there really is no accounting for red tape, so no promises. It is, however, available now on Kindle, Nook, and at the Kalijor Press book store at http://www.lulu.com/spotlight/paullell, and at a discount of 15% or more, until Friday, April 6th, around midnight Eastern time.
Other than that, just gearing up for StarFest where the book will officially debut!
In other news, I added about 2,000 words to the Fifth Key last night, and I just received a few styl
Fourth Key update, and a sale!
For those interested in getting a copy straight away, you can now purchase the Fourth Key of Kalijor on Kindle, Nook, and paperback. Although, until it gets thought the Bowker database, the physical copies are only available at my own store.
I have copies coming, for those that want to get them at StarFest.
Next up, a sale! If you visit the Kalijor Press book store and buy anything between now and April 6th, you will get an instant savings of 15% or more (that's about $3 per book). Savings are instant, no coupon codes required. Just add them to the shopping cart and see the savings applied!
That's it for now, so have a great evening/day an
THe Fourth Key is finished!
I've just sent it off to the publisher, and all of the eBook distributors. Copies for StarFest are ordered and should arrive a couple days before the con.
I have to tell you, it feels good to get another one off the to-do list, and that was a big one!
Now, I am going to play some EQ2 and maybe walk the dog. Tomorrow..... Business taxes. :( Although, that will get another looming item off my list so I can really dive into the Fifth Key and the new RPG book, so I guess it's alright, even if it sucks.
I hope all is well out there with you all!
So, who's going to make it to StarFest on the 20th of April? Looking forward to the feedback on the
